Welcome
Hello and welcome to Snowdrop Flowers! My name is Jessica Ojala and I grow specialty cut flowers on my little flower farm in Elmore, Vermont. I sell at a few local stores and through a CSA every spring, summer and fall. I also offer gift bouquets and à la carte flowers for weddings and events. I like to design with color at the forefront, and would describe my style as lush and romantic with a touch of wildness.
A little bit about how I farm: My flowers are not certified organic, but I follow organic practices as much as possible. Flowers that attract too much pest damage are eventually dropped in favor of varieties that thrive without too much fuss. I've been slowly making the switch from annuals to perennials. I find that perennials, in addition to coming back each year, tend to have less bug damage than annuals. The flower farm operates using no-till and I am a big fan of using cover crops and compost to improve the soil.
Before becoming a flower farmer I worked as a photographer, and I still love taking pictures. Follow on instagram to see what's blooming! (click on the little icon below)

Ps: CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you purchase a CSA share, you invest in the farm at the beginning of the season, and in return you'll receive a share of the crop all summer long—in this case, a weekly bouquet of flowers. CSA members always get the best of what's blooming on the farm, in exchange for their up-front support.
